The main argument against re-fitting a standard exhaust is the sheer size and weight of the thing.

I reckon a standard rear box costs about 1mpg all on it's own.

They will regard it as a modification (and they 'look nice'). They may not charge more, but I believe they have to some members. They should be told to avoid grief later.

I guess it depends on the type you go for...... if you went for a sport noise dual pipe system (because you can) .....or like me a standard sound single pipe as per standard (other than the hefty rear box :lol: :lol: damn thing is like a missile when it drops off) ..... Insurance co's seem to have the "boy racer" attitude to anything that is non standard and to be honest, when they see the Bongo, they know that it isn't going to set the tarmac alight.... common sense usuallt prevails....
