Rule of thumb guide for bongo "marques"

Mark 1's (M-R reg) Orange rear indicator strips, cloth interior, dark and light grey plastics utilized on interior trim. Lower two tone painted "swage line".

Mark 1 facelifts (R-T Reg) Clear rear indicator strips, velour trimmed interior, larger use of light grey plastics on interior trim, painted swage line moves to the middle of the body if two toned.

Mark2 "new shapes" Yet more revised detailed interior trim changes, biggest visual difference to the exterior. One piece contoured headlights/indicators,new front slam panel is now two quarter panels, different bumpers (standard, standard with bolt on spoiler, Aero bumper (one piece bumper similar to a standard bumper with spoiler) New rear light clusters with moulded extremities, full "light" centre panel between the new rear lights. Rear bumper remains unchanged (though some have "spats" bonded on, or a full length diffuser) Freetop versions of new shape bongo's raise a little higher when lifted.

Mine's a "mark1" bongo, revised to "new shape"

Used to look like this....
