Bongo Fury

Hi I am new. R reg silver bongo from coastal devon goes by the name of bingo bongo. Mainly used for the odd night away due to work commitments but daughter starts school this year so can't ever afford to go abroad again and want to explore the UK. I used to bivvy up a lot but hubby hasn't camped since scouts. Had first bongo related row putting up awning in garden! Haven't driven a vehicle this big since my manky Citroen bx 18 yrs ago so don't be offended if I don't wave back I will be gripping the steering wheel and concentrating a lot!!

Hi all,my name is Les, I have a 1997 2.5 turbo diesel friendee auto it is mainly
white with white alloys 16" it is mot'd till April 2017 but needs a lot of work
ie: cills etc: runs great, I also have a Ford grand C-Max but since buying the bongo
the C-Max is gathering dust (bongos are so great to drive)
I am A newishly widowed male age 72+ on a pension so could not afford a newer
one.I do most of my own repairs etc: ( body permitting) I live in Torquay
looking forward to getting out and about soon wild camping etc.

Warm welcome Les. Don't mind Bob - he's a one man rabble But seriously, with apologies to Bob who is a best buddy, one of the great things with Bongos is the get togethers. Lots of kindred spirits down your way so get out and enjoy. I retire this year and hope to travel the UK in the Bongo, which i've had for 10 years and still love driving it - nothing else compares for cruising with character.

Very soon to be part of the tribe, we have settled on which one to buy, will be putting the cash down tomorrow and picking up in a couple of weeks after our holiday.

Finding the best for the money van has been am effort but I think we have got the one, no rust, immaculate inside and out, low millage... Will post more detail once it is on our drive way.

We are in Torquay, the wife and the dog and I and will be mithering you all about conversion options very soon.
