Just seen this one MissF, never thought about the windows

you know a man
you see my van is now at the stage where more panels need attention than don't some minor but i hate rough paint i would rather have it all smooth satin black

we will see what the winter brings at the mo i am just enjoying driving it again. Cant decide what to do with my wheels tho, got any ideas, i'm half way through sanding one, kinda wish i hadn't started it, but i got carried away
Dar
Unfortunately I don't Dar, thought I'd found the right person to spray my roof Silent Silver, pile of cr*p, took it back, he had it 3 days came back worse

He's back off holiday tomorrow, will be going to see him to try & get my money back. Not happy.
Get a couple of car windows from a scrappy & have a go with a compressor & some glass grit? Pretty sure you could do a chemical etch too, not on the front windows obviously

Maybe measure up a T5 tailgate first as I bet they cost VW money.

Cant find one!! Be nice to copy one. I have the tools and skill, but do bike racks have to be approved. All the fiamma etc extend to the bottom of the tailgate which is no good to me as it will obscure my latest pimp!!

I think its a what if scenario, i.e. if you made one and something happened that was not attributable to careful fitting then you might be liable? However, if a standard factory rack was fitted and not fitted properly it would be the same issue. Personally, if its made well and you are confident with it then should not be a problem. Type approval seems to be more of an issue in Europe?
