Thanks to you both! I was really having a cerebrally challenged moment with that purchase! I've now placed my order for a couple of those. If one isn't bright enough, I'll have to re-convert my rear fog light into a second reversing one. Looking forward to seeing where I'm going when I squeeze into my tight drive at night!

I've just ordered a pair off your link Helen... For fitment in my car as a trial. I'd be interested to see how visible the bulbs are when not illuminated before i order a pair for use in the bongo (very transparent lens on new shape lights)

Hi
Ste.
They can be very handy with a very transparent lens...and a pair of bulbs offering around a million candlepower each, especially if you have a cunning flick-switch to deter folk who forget to dip their lights...I used to have a hugely powerful spread-beam foglight on the boot of one car in the 60's.......boy, do they suddenly remember where the dipswitch is
Cheers
Helen

Just a word of warning....
This style does not fit the late models..... certainly not mine anyway(2001+)....doh!
Looking into what LED type does...will let you all know when and if I do find one......

Terry

Cheers Terry... That rules me out of fitting some into the main clusters then

I'll see how they fit in the secondary set of reverse lights

Just ref. the leds for the courtesy light. An easier wire up is take the switched negative from the pin switch at the rear of the sliding door aperture and take a constant live from the wires that go into a white box mounted in the B post. Mine worked spot on, no problems and very little trim to come off.

So the LEDs come on when the door is open etc - just like the courtesy light??
Looks good mate

yep, works exactly as courtesy light as soon as the door is opened, i looked at joining wiring at interior light but this was much easier. I also left a bit length on wires so you could remove the jack cover and use it as a light if required.
