Hi i tried today on my way to work by fiddling around and i think it may be correct about a lot of cold air from the back as it feels like it is coming from the rear of the console not the front.

Also Jayster,i used to work as bodyshop co-ordinator for Hodgson Newcastle who are Mazda dealers and i was going to speak to some lads to see if any are willing to work on Bongos. One in particular has left and set up on his own which may be promising. I also dealt with 2 sublet bodyshops who are mazda approved who will do anyone a good deal if they mention me.i will speak to them and see if they want a mention on the forum. One is at Hexham and the other at Wallsend.

Stuc, that would be great, not least because my two rear wheel arches are rusting and bodywork is high on my list of priorities, so a useful contact would be great.

Cheers, fella.

My rear arches are really bad so i am going to get them to weld in two new repair panels,i need to do a bit on the sills and i am putting on two front wings.I am going to do a full paint including colour coding the bumpers, grill and mirrors.Just waiting for weather to warm up a bit.

Good effort, mate. I have trouble painting walls and so I think that all might be a bit beyond me!

I was recommended a great Bongo specialist in Stoke, Ian Taylor, who gave me a price of £350 to do both rear wheel arches, including the paint job. Am thinking of going down this route whenever I can get the money together.

Must be nice to be able to turn your hand to that type of work. Very useful!

I am calling in a few favours for the arches to be welded in,but i am a time served painter so it should be a piece of cake. I also have access to spraybooth etc.for the painting.£350 sounds like a very good price to me but it is a fair way away.
