
We saw a site very similar to that as we were travelling to a Day out in the Hills involving a steam train. Just wish I could remember what it was called.

The "Coast" programme also mentioned a spit going out into the sea. Borth beach was indeed once part of a huge forrest that stretched out for miles before the sea claimed it, and at low tide HEY PRESTO![]()
