Looking at the dates, the weekends of either September 3rd or 10th seem ideal.
Start penciling dates in folks.

3rd would suit me fine too, is that the weekend before the kids go back to school?
As long as it fits in with the grass/hay/straw harvest of course
A cracking finale to the summer hols!!

HI
I have just stumbled across this post and it sounds absolutely fantastic. I only live about 30 minutes away from the wolds and it truly is a special place - pure escapism.
Me, my wife, my 8 year old son are definitely up for the event. As has already been mentioned the 3rd September would be a great day for the closure of summer 2010.
Count us in
marc
and thanks a lot

We would be definitely up for it on the 3rd. We don't have our herd that weekend.. so it's just me and Chris.

Hi all,
Thanks for the great response to the event, I have heard from Peter at the farm, he would prefer the meeting to be in July, I think the main reason is if the Aug harvest runs over, he will be hard-pressed to get everything ready for us.
Possible dates, therefore, are:
10/11 July, 17/18th july, 24/25th July (my preferred date).
Could peeps let me know who can attend which dates, I'll pick the one that most can get to.
SD
BTW, They're really keen to make this a success, read this from the e-mail he sent me:
Thanks Iain, I will consult with Jayne tonight. We are very excited about getting something going, & meeting Bongo club members for feed back on how we can provide to make their stay enjoyable for future developments.
On the first meeting we would probably concentrate on the principal of providing food, good hospitality & activities, rather than a more specialised work shop.
The therapy work shops would be a more specialised event once Jayne & Alva have gained the benefit of meeting & talking to members.
Talking to Jayne & Alva in an informal manner is therapy & councelling in itself.
We will also give you a list of activities, which will be as you suggested.
....cross country bike course, around farm track
.....BMX style course set up in the field over soil banks
......a tamer small circuit demarked by tyres,
........perhaps a maze
.......enchanted walk through the woods
All with the party shed as a focal point where an early evening buffet / barbecue will be provide & breakfast each day if members are interested.
Our aim would be for members to enjoy their stay at good value, whilst being giving a reasonable return for our efforts. We will work out a price guide for your comments.
