On the little stubby bit on the pipe in front of the engine. Removed a rubber cap and put the pipe on there. If i take the tube off at the servo end and run the engine will i be able to feel the vacuum, will it suck onto my finger?
The little stubby does not need cut or drilled into does it?

That's where I connected mine, works OK. No drilling required.

Can i test vacuum by just putting my finger on the pipe?
Can i test the waeco vacuum unit by sucking on the pipe?

not sure how hard you'd have to suck

Very!! - ever stuck your finger over that vacuum stub when the engine is running?

Done and dusted.
Found that there was no vacuum at the servo, so i checked where the tube attached on the little stubby and someone had blocked it up with glue or sealer or something.
With Kirsty's help i was able to find somewhere else to tap into the vacuum circuit(pics to follow) and all is well. Tested and working great. I like it.
Just gotta work on where best to fit the control unit tomorrow and then i will start on the fuel sender.
Don't like the thought of fitting the control unit to the dash as the steering wheel obscures it and i would have to lean forward to operate it.
Will see tomorrow, i have a couple of ideas.
Love you Kirsty

Fitted mine to the blank switches just under the cowling behind the wiper stalk, right at my finger tips and easily seen too.

that seems to bethe norm place to fit it but I am bigger than most and need to lean forward to use these switches and the steering wheel obscures the sightline. I think either on the side of the black shroud on the selector or on the back of the selector itself. Will play around tomorrow.

Just glad you got it sorted

Mine is stuck to the top row of switches, but, it is a bit obscured by the steering wheel, haven't got around to moving it or modifying it with remote switches yet, someone wired in remote switches to theirs & put them in the gearbox shroud

, liking the idea, but way down the round tuit list.

After very little time you'll find you don't need to look at it at all.
Mine is obscured by the steering wheel and that has the advantage of obscuring the Green LED at night - you'd be surprised how bright it is.

Mine's down by my left knee, as Scanner says you don't really need to see it.
I wouldn't fit it to the centre consul as this has to be removed to raise the seats for engine access, and sure as anything it'll get pulled away, 'specialy if someone else has to open up.
Really glad you got it working, good bit of kit.

Bent a piece of thick wall tube, brazed a plate on to mount the controller, threaded the outside of the tube and ran the control wires inside the tube. Having the controller behind the wheel on a stalk makes use as easy as using wipers. My system is Audiovox, do Waeco make a stalk controller? If they do it's worth buying IMHO.

Simon Jones modified one to work with his, but I don't think there's a standard one to go with the MS50.
