Would I require anything else to go with this kit ( not technically minded )

or are there better options out there
Thanks
Duncan.
i got everything i needed in my kit... the only thing you may need to add depending how you wire the + wire is an inline fuse/holder... it realy is very simple
your other options is to have an alarm fitted which can be linked to the central locking, microscan make a very good one that does it for about £80...

This thread is not too old:

The kit I used is working fine, just need to sort out some key blades to screw into the key fobs..

thats exactly what I said but in more detail as the person who was asking seemed to want to know, signals are what we in the trade refer to when one devise electricly or transmitted has a direct bearing on the action of another devise, and I agree with you bhongo bhoy

Bit unnecessary

Not sure where that came from? but I think wires have got crossed here, but you seem to have taken something personally entirely unnecessarily.

The 2 wire solenoid mechanically locks the drivers door and this action locks all the others the same as if you had locked it with the key.
For remote CL, as Colin said, a remote SIGNAL is transmitted to the receiver unit, which operates the solenoid, simple. Or am I missing something?

Thanks Chris, no need to appologise 'cos it weren't you.
Hope he enjoys his VW, while the rest of us draw our own conclusions and carry on here with our friends.

I would like to thank the moderators on their stance on this issue, this all started when a certain member took it upon himself to be judgemental and criticized my spelling, I like reading and posting on this site and thought the important thing was the topic not the spelling, as long as others understood what is being said that is surely all that is important, I find now that I am very concsious of my spelling and it tends to spoil things somewhat....... I hadn't twigged it was about the spelling again (bit slow

) Lots of people misspell (sp?), mistype (I'm one of the worst - ususally have to edit my post - fingers not working properly & missing the right keys

) or are dyslexic (probably spelt that wrong

). Absolutely no need for that sort of attitude & judgement. Yes it can make it hard to read, but no need to abuse other forum members over it. I would expect a public apology from the poster or that he be removed from the forum, which would be a shame as he has come up with some good input.
Maybe it was a case of "don't drink & surf"?

Rule 1. Don't dial drunk
Rule 2. Don't type drunk
Rule 3. If the only insult you can think of is See you Next Tuesday, then time to go back to school moron!

don't worry about the spelling, i am absolutely useless at spelling, so i must admit i use the spell checker for every post i erm post.
if you have the google toolbar click on tools and put the spell checker on the top . then after you have compiled your war and peace novel then just spell check it and alter any word needed.
