Sorry to confuse you Mike. I originally thought about using the main central light somewhere else but there wasn't anywhere I could find suitable to position it due to it's size. That's why I went for using the spare rear one I had knocking about on the same circuit as the main central one so it now comes on when the sliding door opens. Glad you like it!

We have cheated a bit and just bought two of the battery operated LED lights with the hooks that just fold in the back of the light. Pop it where you want it. Very useful for reading now the dark nights are here. Much more light than ordinary lights in the back. Lights are similar to B*witched Blingo's but nowhere near as good looking with their fancy fittings. Well done.

Ah, gotcha! Having one where you put it is an excellent idea if it allows you to activate it from the drivers seat, as the the main one is totally out of reach (and I often put it on permanent off so it doesn't waste juice due to side door being open for long periods, as happens when camping or loading stuff leisurely with such a handy sliding door)

We use a few of those as well -



I agree that they give out a lot more light than the normal lights - we use them for when camped up. However now that the dark evenings are here, and because I use the Bongo as an everyday car, when the girls are getting into the back it's pitch black, so to have a light again that comes on when the sliding door opens is going to be a godsend.
