That's another one for the "beginners questions" cos now that everyone knows it, next time anyone asks, "what is this clicking noise under my bonnet?" they will be unendated with replies saying, "your trip meter you numpty!"

Have you made double sure its not this.

Annabelle thinks it could be a common cause.

My PGCE music student used that clip as a basis for a rhythm exercise in a lesson of hers that I observed last week. Kids thought she was very cool! 8)
