We visited on the Saturday, just before the Barry Bullshotters left for their walk. A nice site, level & spacious pitches it said on the entrance - not so sure about that :?

A few pics from us before we left in search of the elusive tarts

hi all,
just wanted to say what a lovely weekend we had at bakewell.we`d often been in the area, but never been to the site before.we saw some old friends, and met some lovely new people.forgive me for being terrible with names, but hello to mrs bradbury(i think, the lady next to us with the two dogs, anyway!!)and to anita.it`s so nice to meet such friendly, down to earth people.i know everyone we`ve ever met at meets have been so welcoming, but it`s still nice.
we didn`t socialise much in the evenings,as the temperature dropped and it did get VERY dark indeed(lots of fun finding your way between bongos in the dark!!)but we`ve decided to make use of the rear conversion in future and get a hookup pitch where possible.i must be getting older,as i really felt the cold in my bones this time(even though i wandered around in shorts for most of the time!!)
thanks as ever to ray and christine(triple-r)and manda and andy(bulwell bongoleers)for warming us up!!
thanks again,see you all soon
jamie,sharon and family
p.s.,who were the nice family from wales next to us at the far end of the non-electric field?sorry i didn`t get chance to chat.

Great pictures from Muz and Manda :D. Don't think mine will match up at all. A really good weekend on a site with spectacular views. Nice to meet lots of folk again. We think Triple R will turn up as a ghost in the future

Great pics Muz and Manda (as usual!). We would have loved to have come to this one but the new addition to the family (Harry) was born last week so given the unpredictability of mother nature's timing, September and October trips were never on the cards. Weather and the site looked great for you too.
