just to clarify.
no strap wrench used on the Fram filter, just tightened by hand, leaked
Strap wrench used on the Bluepriint filter, no leaks so far.

I'd recommend you slacken off the filter and retighten just by hand greenman - or you'll probably have to resort to punching a hole in it and wrecking it when trying to replace it next time. I just fitted a Blueprint one today up handtight as I've done for over 35 years - never had one leaked (yet

)

Thanks dandy, I will do that. Never used a strap wrench on the bongo before either, just panicked a bit because we were off on our first camping trip of the year the next day.
Had a run of bad luck that week including a stone through the back winscreen of our other car as well.
It's all a bit calmer this week, so I will slacken and retighten the filter as you suggest.
