Thinking about it, fluid level makes sense if the light came on swinging round a roundabout.

Topped up the brake fluid it was above the minimum but not by much. Connections at the back of the handbrake looked fine.
Hopefully problem should be sorted now.

Have a check around all the wheels & hoses & gubbins under the bonnet to check it isn't leaking if you had to top it up, just in case

If there is no sign of a leak, the drop in level will just be a result of your brake pads wearing -- as the pads get thinner the brake pistons in each wheel sit further out and have more fluid in them even when you are not pressing the brake pedal.

The Bongo's due for its MOT in mid-June so it'll be going in the Garage mid-May to make sure it passes. Hopefully worn brake-pads etc will be picked up then.

I would have a look at the pads as soon as u can ,best to be on the safe side and could save u a set of disc's.

If you've had to top up the fluid, you have to question why?
If it's the pads worn down, get them replaced but think what happens to the topped up level when you replace them
If it's a leak somewhere, you NEED to fix it, the brakes have to stop a 2 tonne lump & the point a tiny weep turns catastrophic is the point you slam them on in an emergency
