As for return (and original) postage, I may be wrong but I think that the seller legally has to cover it if the goods are faulty - a 'long-distance selling' rule.

Almost certainly they'll try and suggest you at least cover the original postage cost, but I'd check it out if I were you and you can tackle them on it. But do confirm this first!

Yep - at their cost, if they don't want to pay 2 lots of postage they shouldn't sell sub-standard goods.

Thanks for all the advice , web site refs etc. I phoned them this morning and had to press hard to get past their 'script' that if I wanted a refund I would have to pay the postage. Eventually after quoting the regs you guys pointed me at they agreed so I should get refund for product and both sets of postage!

Will get a Pela when refund received.

Result For a few quid extra, it really is worth going for the pela, so simple to use, no mess, no fuss (in theory )
