As you can see from the other thread, a few guys have Kseal in as a preventative, on as he has had trouble with other cars and another as he is an AA man , they have it in as a "belt and braces approach".......for me I will see when I replace my coolant and hoses for next winter.

Would really like your thoughts on this one.
I recently added a can of K seal to the water system on my Bongo. I did it as a preventetive measure as it says that it stays in the system and blocks holes that appear in metal pipes ect. After adding it I have noticed that the mason alarm comes on more often and the needle on the temp gauge is slightly higher than usual! Can't decide on whether to drain the system or not. I would appreciate any advice on this from you please.
Thanks,
Mike.
Hi mike I've not experienced any known faults with using k-seal causing higher engine temps,
I have it mine without any probs and spoke to another guy/bongonaut today and he's not seen any fault(cured a small leak also)..
but maybe with a partially blocked or sediment filled rad it is feesible like a few have suggested...possibly slowing down the flow but its a very small quantity of k-seal to the 10-12 litre cooling system capacity..

K-seal works on the principal of flowing freely around the cooling system which is quite large compared to most and sealing up when in contact with air (ie a leak).

Never been a advocate of wonder treatments or additives but some do actually work very well which k-seal is one.

If in doubt flush it out good n proper this should help

Cheers Steve.
