I disconnected the wire and earthed it out whilst the engine was running - the oil light came on!

Well done Dandy, could this be connected to Hydens TM2 if we could find out the wiring,to give audible warning??
Mal..

Aye - could do - I was thinking of wiring it to my invertor and feeding 240v into my seat base to give me a jolt up the arse if I forgot to check the level................

Very useful...especially if you play with your pump, Kirsty, and tell us when the bells and whistles go off. Now, how many other lamps have 2 functions...I'll write them down so I don't forget, and keep it in the glove box....i'm SERIOUS...the old forgettory works too well at my age....so PLEASE ... can someone list those lamps!!!
Cheers
Helen
Here's one..
The door open warning light also tells you if the courtesy light is on in the cab!!
Unless the courtesy lamp is switched off.. In which case the warning light alerts you to that too..
Neat!!

Good to know, and reassuring, thanks dandy
Now if we can just work out all the different reasons the coil/scavenger fan warning light flashes...(perhaps that's already been done and I missed it)

I already have the TM-2 wired into the oil pressure wire. It would be simple to add the level wire. Just splice another wire into it and connect to the unit.
