I think that I need to replace mine as it is a sod to start on these cold mornings then clouds of smoke for the first couple of minutes then runs just fine - what are the correct size to get? sorry to sound daft but didn't realise there were different sizes
Be nice to everyone they might be nice back.

Youre right, it is a sod to start, 20 bloody minutes the other morning :( . I hope that the different length can be seen by the height of the glow plug rail.

Mine had the 102mm plugs and I couldn't find any. I tried the Ranger ones, as Ian said these were the elusive size, but my local factors all had the Ranger as 83mm.
Result was I fitted the 83mm ones and just bent the pipes between the injectors so that they didn't foul the bus bar. I just used a block of wood, resting on the pipes, and gently tapped it until they were bent down enough.

They have been known to snap on removal
This is down to the extreme hot/cold temperatures that the metal is exposed to and they become brittle.
Hope this doesn't happen to anyone. My plugs were easy to remove , thank God. :D
Now she fires first time every morning :D
