hi all,

The 10 amp fuse is in the feed from the ECU to the connection between the relay and the glow plugs and is part of the sense circuit for the control of the glow plugs. The main feed is through the relay contact which is fed directly from the "1.25sq" link under the bonnet.

Hope that explains it - I'm not sure exactly how the control works - just reading the schematics.

and in answer to the question just popped up while I was typing - no the "1.25sq" link only feeds the glow plugs

Was the 10Amp fuse for something else that had previously blown and you happened to chance on it and assumed that was the one that needed repairing :?:

Silly me...couldn't have the starter running via the link co's the thing started.
Anyway all is now explained....
