Had lots of clonking from the front end so I did the whole lot on the front in one go - links, brackets and bushes. All noises went.

Ava did the rear ones a couple of years ago and the noise then seemed obvious from the rear.

Well after changing the front drop links and anti roll-bar bushes and still that annoying noise i think i have tracked down the problem [-o< [-o< The fresh water tank when empty bounces up and down in its brackets and comes into contact with the inner sill #-o A bit of foam padding and filled it up no noise :D

Soaked my nuts for 2 days
Tried Spanners on them , allen keys , Nuts still too tight
Angle grinder would not fit in housing around my very tight nuts :(
After many scraped knuckles , many saxonic swear words and chased the cat a few times
I gave up. :x :x
Needed a new tyre this week and when I was in the garage I enquired if they could have a look at my nuts
Lo and behold the mechanic put Bongo on a ramp and with his airgun took both wheels off and replaced the said drop links in 10 minutes .
No hassle no swearing and didnt even charge me :D
I cant believe the difference in how Bongo sounds since replacing front drop links :D no clunking or clonking when driving or going over the many speed bumps in my town :x

Great news pilajake. Amazing difference isn't it. Like a new car again 8)

Do the antirollbar bushes for good measure as they clunk too when worn

It is like driving a new vehicle :D
There is no clunking at the moment :D
Thanks for the tip about the bushes , I will have a look at them this weekend too see if they need changing.

Obviously it all depends on the bolts coming undone easily. No point bothering otherwise until they are clonking. But on the assumption they perish at around the same age as the droplinks, its worth considering. V quick to do if bolts undo easly. Rather than buy new bushes I bodged mine beautifully by cutting up some bicycle inner tube and sleeving the old bushes (a tip from Dandywarhol). Worked great and saved a few quid.
