Fan - blinking - tastic! A life on the ocean waves too, failing that, plenty of decent lakes around!!

I'm fairly confident the 10 van limit can be worked on. Maybe they'll be no more than 10 hook-ups available but we'll make do!

I reckon even if it is only ten, it'll still be a blast.

Watch this space . . . . =D>

I'm very tempted by this one, especially if the plan is to walk up Snowdon as I've never done it (and hope I'm not too knackered to do it now). Personally I'd prefer April as being prettier for Spring flowers etc. but hey. Put me down as provisional for now MM if OK

I'm mad enough to go on a jetski but I'm not sure my back is :(

I was there yesterday (in the pub that is). It's fantastic! But there is a 14 vehicle limit on the camp site, and they discourage group bookings.

I will post this elsewhere, but it is now our intention to hold the Welsh Bash 2009 1 mile up the road at the Bryn Gloch site (again). This will be in mid August.

Good heads up there Sir.

If nessacary, the location can be tweaked to a mile up the road if numbers demand but this is a bash that needs to be done for the good of mankind as a whole.

We have also been in that pub this weekend and agree it will be a great place to hold a meet. In fact we spotted a bongo camped up there this weekend. If you cant pursued them to take more than 14 bongo's then Bryn Gloch would be a great alternative as there's loads of hook-ups and good facilities. I cant recommend the mile walk to and from the pub as it will be a bad road to walk on at night. If the northern lot are coming then maybe they could bring the marquee ?? as somewhere people can congregate would be needed in my opinion.

Good call there James but not a problem as the other site is at at Rhyd Ddu, where the railway currently terminates. A walk along a deserted railway line at night is much more favourable than that narrow twisty road.

The marquee is a must too . . . .

Chris

The train stn site is brill, but as stated, limited pitches

The big site up the rd where the welsh bash was held is much better.loads of room, several shower/toilet blocks and plenty of hook-ups.

No doubt they would fit us all onto one field with hookups if enough notice was given.

As long as me knee is sorted,me and Maude will be up for this

(NW CREW...this is 60-90 mins drive for Wigan,St Helens.Manchester,Liverpool.....slightly more for Lkes area)

Count us in for this one, MM.

The pub was good, great food on Saturday. They do have a habit of speaking Welsh, though :?

The Bryn Gloch site would be excellent, amazing facilities. Where else not only has electric to every pitch, but water as well!

That's probably because it's in the Welsh speaking heartlands! English is pretty much a second language in this part of Gwynedd.

Right then, here's the rub at the pub . . .

I've introduced ourselves, explained what we're after & all sounds well.

I've provisionally booked 20 pitches, (with flexibility for a few more on the Saturday night if ness.) but am waiting on a confirmation call back from The Management.

Sounds like they'll want payment up front though so might need some hefty deposits this time.

Fingers crossed.
