kawasaki kid wrote:Wheel Quick got me out of serious poo yesterday and today =D> The story goes that my exhaust started vibrating on something and on inspection I found that the pipe that enters the rear box had sheared :x then looking closer I discovered the middle flexi section was all perforated :x :x so I decided I would order a full system and ended up ordering one off ebay. Whilst I waited for it to arrive I stripped off the middle and back sections - it didnt take long as most of it just fell off ( rust ). When the new system arrived I took the front pipe off and lay both systems side by side to compere them and they looked the same =D> - when I offered up the new front pipe I found it was too short  It was just over 1.5 inches short - made 1st phone call to supplier - refitted old front pipe and offered up new middle pipe - found the flanges where at different angles #-o - made 2nd call to supplier and it was agreed to return the system for a refund . =D> Phoned mike who said to bring the old system in - took it to Mikes in the wifes car - and he would sort something out it turns out on further inspection that the front pipes on vans with the winter pack (exhaust valve ) on are longer and replacement front and middle sections will not fit. #-o Mike was able to get around the problem by supplying me with a used front pipe without the valve on and a new middle and back section. =D> Got it home and one hour later and some new gaskets job done. \:D/ So to Mike and Stu a big thankyou for getting me out of this predicament and the saved me money as well. \:D/
Hi, just ressurecting this thread as I would like to ask you who your ebay supplier was for the 'wrong' exhuast...because I've just had the same problem, we got around it but the supplier was less than helpful and reckoned he'd never had the problem reported to him before. I would love to know if it was the same supplier you bought from. :D

Muddypaws, the supplier of my replacement system was a company called Iezura - when I reported to them that it didn`t fit they were very suprised and offered a full refund without any hesitation. :)

Mine (and others) from Iezura have fitted perfectly so maybe there has been a bad batch.

Alternatively did you order online without speaking to one of the guys there?

If so, I was warned to actually speak to a real person - they have an 0800 orderline - as sometimes "the computer says sodditt" and sends the wrong part if you order online.

Before I ordered it online - ebay - I phoned them up and said that I had the winter pack valve on the frontpipe and they said it would fit so that was why I ordered it. when Mike at wheel Quick ordered a full system for me that also came with a "short" front pipe and when Mike phoned his supplier he was told they only did one size of front pipe.

Yes it was Lezura, dh didn't actually buy it via ebay. He found them on ebay and the phoned them up. He wasn't asked any questions or told that there were different ones available to fit depending on the winter valve thingie. Then when he phoned afterwards and told them it was too short they said they had never heard of that before. No refund was offered as far as I am aware.

Anyways, sorted now. Just wish we'd known about the difference before hand so we could have checked and avoided it. Never mind, live and learn and all that.

The talk appeared to have drifted to distance travelled to a garage.

I just thought I'd extend the scope - as they say on TV "other reputable garages are available".
