Is Simon going to start marketing his alarm I wonder Sounds like it could be a worthwhile addition

I don't trust my temp gauge so i've just invested in a mason.. came the other day (yet to fit it).
So i will soon be adding another "beep". (when the patio's done).

My point; I think it would great if these devices were all brought together that sort of acted as a sentinel, like on one loom keeping an eye on what could possibly go wrong, relay that back to ether a little screen or LED readout. you get one beep you look at the monitor & it says "yer too hot", "you dropped coolant", "yer doors open"!

The alarm system i fitted gave me scope for internal sensors & remote locking, even window closers if left open!!!
I dare say if i wanted it would ring me at 3am to tell me a hoodie's peering through my drivers window..

What am i saying; it would take the fun out of driving.. (i check my coolant twice a day as it is!)

Distilled Waters Run Deep, i was just wondering how much all the work did cost you and where you got your engine from?

I do need a new engine

Well, funny you should mention it. I have received some interest & have started work on making a couple. It would be to compliment existing devices available, rather than to replace them. More news to follow....

Thanks for all the useful info and advice. I am getting a new engine now and am now looking to the future. Where do you recommend i buy one of these alarms and could a novice like me fit it myself or is it quite hard?

Club shop and dead easy to fit, especially the Mark 2 and 3.
