Thanks BDC. How much antifreeze need to be added to get a 40/60 ratio?

I beleive the total coolant capacity to be around 12-13 litres harpo, so i reckon that 5 litres of undiluted coolant should do the trick.harpo42 wrote:Thanks BDC. How much antifreeze need to be added to get a 40/60 ratio?
Some on here take the manufacturer's recommendation's a little TOO literally,bear in mind that a fair chunk of the warning stickers just don't apply here.

Well I have just done a coolant change, used 5 litres of coolant, as I did last time, The last coolant did have a noticable amount of rust colour in it when giving the radiator a good flush. I would not want to dilute the coolant any more than I have done -due to the rust inhibiting effect of the coolant being less effective
