Bongo Fury

I have just the drivers door central locking too. I have always had cars like this since I got central locking so I am used to it. I always lock my driver door when I exit the car as a matter of course. I then have children locked in the car whilst I go round to get them and they cant escape or be got at. I then open and lock their door seperately. If I didnt lock the drivers door on exit I would forget to go back and do it. Its automatic for me - although hubby always leaves it unlocked if he drives!!

On the whole from what i have read & seen, yes..
Though i did read a thread from someone who thought they had found what looked like a factory remote central locking controller a couple of months back & queried it!

Certainly remote control was an option (my own Bongo had this although I have removed and wired to my alarm as it was really unreliable) and the device for this is mounted inside the drivers door. But as I said as standard the way the central locking was described in the original post is how it works

I just fitted the actuator for my remote in my door & the controller in the foot well.
I came to the conclusion all the slamming could damage the controller & make it unreliable if it was in the door.

Also the tip about locking the drivers door before getting the kids out is the quick fix solution, thanks again everyone, ailish

I don't let anyone slam my doors the tinny sound kills me

Hi all a quick one hopefully! the passenger side door does not work via central locking. The drivers side locks and unlocks all doors with the exception of the passenger door. Can you tell me whats wrong and if parts are needed?

With 2 things wrong with the passenger door, it's sounding more like a wiring problem than ever.
Mine has only ever centrally locked from the driver's door.

It's a common problem, especially on the driver's door - Mazda always clipped the loom too tight, so it was put under a lot of strain when opening the door.
