Picked my Bongo up this afternoon and had a drive out to York. It was great meeting some of you there and having a look at your vehicles. The advice was great. I just wish we could have stayed - the cold beers looked sooooo tempting!

Really looking forward to christening it in the next couple of weeks.

Both the above arrived yesterday so we set off to a lovely little camp site in Menston near Leeds. There was one other family in tents and us there.

Well they must have had a right laugh watching us put up the awning!! It was like fighting with an anaconda! I lost Chris for at least 10 minutes - Mind you when I found him he did smell of beer and had froth on his top lip.

We eventually go it sussed out and it looked great. Hopefully next time it will be a bit easier.

We then decided to go to bed so folded all the seats down, got the quilt and pillows out and settled down for a good nights sleep. WRONG! Why didnt someone tell me the seats were really uncomfortable to sleep on. Oh well lesson learnt for next time - take something to lay on.

All in all we had a great time and I cant wait to use it again. I think I am going to love being a bongonaught!

Good news Wendywoo. I've only slept downstairs once. I used a Sunncamp self inflating mattress over the seats (only thin mind) and found the seat really comfortable (and I have a dodgy back). BUT I use one little trick that I think many have missed. I take out the middle seat headrests and jam them back in back to front. That seems to remove the major lump that causes problems. I use middle bench and rear seats for the bed. Rear seats are the early model split type which are I believe less lumpy than the later bench seat.
