Yes, be carefull when checking out your Bongos. Buy in haste, repent at leasure. Look after your Bongo and your Bongo will look after you.

One thing I would say about buying an AFT for under £4k. You may do very well, but you are arguably in the danger zone where you have to (1) be reasonably confident you can assess a Bongo well and (2) would be well advised to have some reserve cash in case you have a wobbly with the new purchase. This is why I say buying an AFT with a budget under £4k is pushing it. You may get the car for under £4k but - in my view - you would be well advised to have another £1k in reserve should you have got it badly wrong. Odds are you won't need it and can relax after a bit, buts its best to be braced. Given you've said you're under-confident with cars, I would re-emphasise the above. I would be particularly wary if a dealer was offering an AFT for under £4k though you do see them (dealer in Brighton regularly has them on ebay)

I think we are now going to stick with a tin top then go for the option of adding the top at a later date if required.
