Right - the one i need to check has a sheaf over it to avoid rubbing & potential leaking [on the list for Friday!]

Ah, bandage, good call, I was trying to work out if there was some kind of paper sticky tape available. Though it occurs to me now that it's called "masking tape" and the misses wants me to use it on various parts of the house, prior to wielding paintbrush and roller. Probably best if i use a bandage & avoid buying the tape!

Mentioned it to my misses - she's not against the idea, though is concerned that it'll be "the same as a wing ding" (my mum & step-dad have a honda-gold wing trike [video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3gwJTauAow] - nice machine, if you like that kind of bling!) and they go off to a lot of meets to discuss all things chromey & lighty!

I'll do my best to get up for at least a day, maybe bring a few beers to exchange for your time looking at the green-beast & kip overnight in the roof :)

It isn't difficult, just about all you need is 10mmspanner V.1.0.1. and Pieceofflatsteelplate V.2.0.5.

I certainly have the first bit of software, and suspect I can source the latter ;)

Thanks!

Gav.
I don't think it will be at all like that chatting over a beer on the Friday night, round a fire if it's nice enough.
Watching a load of kids get wet in Powerboats on Saturday whether it's nice or not.

More chat and beer around another fire on Saturday.

A Pub staggering distance away in the village does food if we can't be ahhhsed to cook.
A bit further away is a little place called the Village Bistro that does nice meals as well (I've eaten there, but not in the pub)

Gav,
Your coolant expansion tank is either empty or has gone very opaque. You do have coolant in there, right?

Yup. Coolant in there up to the seam (i'll be attempting the "clean with some acid" trick when it's time to replace the coolant - i.e. before winter). According to my pipette with balls in it, it's good for -17 degrees at the moment!

OK, so, had a little time today, spent some time looking at my hoses, repositioned the bleed hose where it meets the engine, and performed this little task there, as a little water came out when I moved it (probably just seepage from loosened clip - bust better safe that sorry as there was some corrosion around the pipe (now mostly cleaned up with wire wool).
