BDC - you are a funny man

I na strange way, I'm quite cheered by keefys information. Until then I'd considered risk of expensive damage to operating mechanism as the reason the owners handbook advises against raising the roof in a high wind (can't see why mind, ideal if you don't want the neighbours to hear the row going on    ). But if the main risk is in fact a few easily mended popped inserts, then thats not so bad. Mind you, probably still best to be cautious (Cartmel was a breezy night mind - I felt like Michael Caine in The Ipcress File trying to sleep in the roof that night, though amazingly I managed it, just like Michael Caine).

I'll try and take some pics and get the subject going keefy. Maybe not immediately as I feel like I'm getting a cold today so lacking in energy (hope its back in time for Stainforth - need to be fit for that!).

I do wonder if the overhang on the AFT traps wind and compounds problems of strain. Got my thinking cap on about that one but no simple solution yet. 8)

Yep, thought I'd skip mention of your midnight misfortune BDC. I have this vision of David Attenborough, crouched in the grass, infra red cameras filming the scene, whispering into his recording microphone "And just three metres away from me, a large male has emerged from his lair and is being helped by an ageing greyback to repair his damaged encampment. It is truly humbling to see this great creature, who is so often misunderstood and misjudged as violent, attending to his midden with such care. Violent is the one thing he is not and that we, in fact, are."
