Stud or exaust gasket

sadly (for me) its stud no1, evidence of a bit of soot blow to the left of manifold .....it shuts up when hot. I presume I should be seeing a nut or bolt head yeh not just the end of a bit of threaded bar in the hole in the manifold.

so next move ?

Easy job...Drill out...helicoil.....fit new stud.. Can be done without removing anything...Just swivel the alternator out of the way. DIY... or about 1 to 2 hours in a garage

First try and drill a pilot hole and try a stud extractor....if thats a no no....then drill/helicoil.

I would like to thank you all, great stuff, I promise to have some usefull info at some point, im good with gas ,if needed, so off to ge a stud extractor someone tell me where to get one and how to use it ill leave you in peace.

I guessed wrong...Sorry it's the more expensive (possibly) option.
