spoke to a wholesalers today,

these lights are available, and in stock as a white light lamp....

they said they'd send a link to the web catalogue,

and the link has been removed or lost or something :?

but if anyone is still after one, I'll let you know soon!

Thanks John,
Lee was trying to see if his local Mazda dealer still had a spare one, but I havnt heard.
It would be good to have a supply available to all of us.
There must be lots of late bongos who will need these lamps. Eventualy!

Cheers Spike

At £34 it might be cheaper to just replace the whole unit with something standard. Should be fairly simple.

Good idea Bob. One obvious option that might be simple to do is get one from an older Bongo thats being broken? But there must be some really interesting (and capable) option just dying to be tried out

It would be good to keep the original, because strangly, it gives a pleasant light!.
I have a "normal" tube over the cooker, and the light is not as warm and homely!
Shucks, think I'll put the ultra violet one in anyway!

I was expecting them to be around the same as the blacklight version....

so somewhere around the £8 or £9 mark.... which is a significant saving over the £34 mazda want

but till I've seen it, don't want to make too many assumptions!

Certainly I will happily pass info to club shop, (once I've got some info :? )
I think, if the lamps are available... changing is not such an issue... there is plenty else to spend your money on.....
I'm going for the reception desk door visors
