We have a cottage just outside Leyburn, will probably be based there over Easter Harry, be nice to do a mini-meet. Which is your "local"?

Brill
How about the 'Dragon' at Hardraw for a lunchtime/afternoon on easter saturday?
I tend to do most of my drinking in/at the van whilst away on my wildcamping weekends as I like to be on site for my early morning wildlife photography.
I also have problems with drinking and driving...its a bugger holding onto a wineglass whilst going around those twisty, hilly, narrow lanes.

Hi Harry - I think we met briefly at Townsley Hall as I left the car park - hello from another old git! I'm planning to be around Settle on Good Friday and overnight and wonder if it would be ok to join you at Hawes for lunchtime pub visit.

Looks like we've got a mini meet then.
Easter Saturday lunchtyime at the Green Dragon, Hardraw with mebbe a visit to the waterfalls and a bit of a wander around in the afternoon.
The pub does meals as does the village tearoom. There is also a picnic area at the back of the pub on the way to the falls (admission charge).
Do an internet search for Hardraw Force...lots of info.
There are at least two 'basic' campsites in the village but at least one if not both do not have a pre booking system. I'll mebbe spent a night or two at one of them if I can get in/or and wildcamp up in a nearby private estate if I can't.
Anyone who would like a guided walk around a private red squirrel sanctury later in the day (about 4.30 or 5.00pm until dusk) will be welcome to join me.

slightly off topic, i used to have a caravan near Alston moor, a little village called , now wait for it,,,,,, SLAGGYFORD,, the caravan was in some woods where we had red squirrels nesting in the big tree at the side of my van, noisy buggers always seem to be bonking on top of the caravan, as well as a noisy owl twittwoowing all bloody night.
