Sorry Bonsi007 I made a mistake in my post and have edited in Bold to avoid confusion.
I was getting myself confused with a PMS unit. The zigs 240v tail is recieving power for the charger. If I am wiring one of these I take the 240 cable from the inlet socket to a consumer unit - usually with an RCD and a 16A MCB for the 240v sockets, and a 6A MCB for the zigs charging tail.
You will probably want to earth the consumer unit to the chassis also.

PS - please take professional advice on installation if you are unsure or dont have instructions for the actual unit you have bought.

I've fitted a CF8 in my conversion & so far it has worked ok. I have had to make a modification to so prevent the main battery going flat when set on the Touring position as it seems to leave both batteries connected in parallel. Although it charges the leisure battery whilst driving, it must be used with a splt charger to avoid the risk of getting a flat main battery.

You are right Simon, I was advised that to overcome the problem I could wire the relay into the zig, but to me it seemed stupid to have the split charge effectively travelling via 30ft of cable. Instead I carry out a separate split charge system between the batteries using a voltage sensing relay and leave the zig permanently in the on-site position.
This did have the advantage when the relay failed on one trip, so to maintain the charge I used the 'touring' mode to give a manual split charge - not perfect, but kept me going til I could replace the relay.
