Interesting concept...the "neutrals" in this thread aren't neutral at all,they are absolutely DEFINITE not to leave it in "D"....

Well, if you're going to put it in Park whilst stationary, make a point of watching in your rear view mirror the momentary panic on the face of the driver behind as you put it back into D .....(via R ) Your reverse light will come on, briefly

soory -in park -yes -in neutral -no
