Biddy wrote:Hi folks, I just found this thread and wondered if you have any plans for whilst you are here. I live minutes away and although I am on late turn (1448-0006 Fri, 1400ish Route Refresh Sat, then Sun off) it would be nice to pop over and say hello.

Also having looked at the link to Brokerswood I did not realise the fishing was so good, I will have to try it out come the warmer weather now.....

I haven't been there for years, I used to cycle over in the school hols... typical aint it on your doorstep and forgotten....
Come over for the Saturday evening for the night....

I only live in Frome will be staying for both Friday and Saturday.

Is it your Bongo at the station?

Saturday evening might be OK if I am not taken off Route Refresh and given a job, although we are unable to camp out.. no equipment/conversion.

The bongo at the station is not mine :( the owner is considering selling or was a while ago I have not spoken to her for a bit. She is the nice lady selling thr train tickets. if you travel by train and a non tall red haired "cuddly built for comfort not speed" lady is driving your train that would probably be ME !

Well done BoyfromBrasil for arranging this. Can I ask if it will be possible for Shirley and me to visit on the Saturday as a day visitor? (Our Bongo is not equipped for overnight camping and we have too many animals at home which we cannot leave overnight).

Ok,

Optimist I am so I have been provisionally offered 10 spaces at Brokerswood on the weekend of 7/8/9 March.

If 10 or more vans come then the prices will be £10 per night. Less will take the price to £12 per night. These prices include electric hookup. Without hookup it will be £8/£10.

Day visitors will be charged at the Woodland Park entrance rate which is £3.25 for adults and £2.50 for children and seniors. Closer to the time I will probably be able to negotiate a reduction on this. Otherwise with a larger family it would be cheaper to book a night for you.

I just need confirmation of attendance from anyone interested at this time.

Thanks for your interest everyone. I haven't been ignoring you....

I'm looking forward to my first outing (5.6 miles from home  ) for this year at this event so it's an official goer now :D

I won't do any more for a couple of weeks in terms of encouraging people to come (except maybe posting to say hello every few days to keep the posting LIVE  ) but if anyone has any questions then feel free to ask and I will endeavour to answer.

I don't need deposits, as I can collect money on the weekend and we will be charged accordingly on the Sunday.

Until later, keep smiling, keep your Bongo clean (unlike mine), and keep the second March weekend free...

Does anyone who's coming want some rear mats i took out of my Bongo when I converted it? I can bring them with me...

I am looking for a spare full size wheel if anyone has one.

I think I should rename this meet the Rest of the West Bongo Jumble if this request is answered.....
