Oh cripes, I'm so very sorry to hear that. Who in their right minds would think stealing a Bongo was a good idea? I hope Galileo turns up before long. Keep us posted and we'll all keep a sharp eye out in case she comes our way. Don't know what more I can say - that is really bad luck but ya gotta just keep on going (easier to say than do I know but...)

Sorry to here about your Bongo got to agree with Rooster about Wilson Road, I was born in Huyton.

Seems to be tougher than ever around the 'pool these days. When I visited an old flame in Bootle a few years ago in a brand new Jeep cherokee I parked it outside the local cop shop (courtesy of her son in law a local cop) rather than park it outside her house. Even though it had a tracker device fitted.

hi y'all,
thanks for all the kind wishesbut the news is bad :!:
galileo has been missing since sunday night and yesterday(new years day) about lunch time, i went to the local shop to get a paper and i saw billowing black smoke. i followed the smoke until i could see the source- to cut a long story short, the police cant confirm that it was galileo as there were no plates on it however they were found nearby. the wreck is at a garage who are looking for a chassis no. to confirm ownership. when they do i will get a letter and a recovery bill. so for now, i cant do anything until i get confirmation. galileo has gone as well as my awning and a few other bits. its a good reason for not keeping gas bottles in vans as galileo was left next to a a house( who didnt bother to cantact the police!). galileoII will have better locks and alarms.

cheers

Perhaps on Galileo 2 you could fit a tracking device like this:

http://www.vancomfort.co.uk/trackers.html

I have one on mine, and although it's not very good in rural areas, in cities you can track your vehicle to within 150 metres.

Apparently JL Airport was brought to a halt the other day when a suspicious car was spotted in the car park, it still had all four wheels and none of the windows was smashed.
