im gonna have to take mine off to get it repaired before spraying due to a great big crack in the side of it when the motor refused to go down on one side.

Might be worth checking out how much one might cost from a breaker. They probably cant get rid of the shells so they can't be worth much

been there, also lloked secondhand fitted from 700 quid, new one from japan 1200 quid plus postage plus fitting.

Crumbs :shock: Last year i was offered a complete AFT for £150 from a bloke breaking a Bongo as long as I arranged pick up - they are apparently very heavy. I tried to get a pal to attempt to refit it on a VW but he didn't want to take it on - went for a Reimo instead.
I am sure that there was a previous thread posted by someone with an AFT who wanted to fit it to a Bongo tintop If he didn't go forward with the project he might sell it to you - - -

job done,got the beast back yesterday and im very happy with the results,i think it looks less top heavy and the gouge in the bumper has gone,he is going to do the "making the smell of diesel when hot"disappear trick then i will put him up for a recommendation,thank you everyone for the advice and help. big up yer bongo!!!
