I did find the small drain plug when I did mine.....it's very difficult to get to, but if you lie under the drivers side of the van (when it's on axle stands of course) and follow all the hoses and pipes you'll find it. When I undid mine I didn't get much water out but I DID get quite a lot of sludgy crap out of it even though it's a tiny hole....you need to keep poking it clear with a thin object, while it's draining. If you leave this drain open while flushing the system you'll get quite a lot more crap out of it! I think that most people don't bother with this but it is there!
I reckon I only got about 8 litres out of mine when I drained it...I posted about this at the time and was advised that quite a lot of coolant is 'stuck' in the rear heater system so you're unlikey to get the full compliment out!

I never raised our bongo for the coolant change

so no wonder I never found the plug

Actually I never raised it either.....just wanted to cover myself in case someone drops a bongo on top of themselves and sues me!
I'm scrawny so I could crawl underneath and remove the bottom cover to get to the drain plug!

well just an update with petes guidence this morning have managed to fillup again to an extent ...i have only been able to get in roughly 8@1/2 ltrs ......well its about the same that came out....wether its correct we shall see have gave it two 10 minute spins and the gauge won't pass 11

and that was after idling in a bit of traffic which was'nt good for my gauge

i can tell ya i'm sure you all understand that one

...i have had enough of staring at that poxy gauge and lets hope thats the end of it

fingers crossed

since atempting to change my coolant with the help of ...peg leg pete

i have since discovered i have a leak which seems to be coming from the water pump ...which i have ordered and need to change ....managed to save most of the coolant which seeped out and i discovered the other drain plug ...upper hose drivers side conects to metal pipe its on their underneath....so will drain the remainder and the other drain plug when i receive the new water pump so bongo will be off road for a few days ....i have changed my mind about doing the drop links as have tryed and failed with the first seized nut i came across thats with the blow torch and even the nut splitter failed oh dear
