Can't you just snip the wire and solder/heatshrink a new one on? It cant be that difficult can it?

Let us know how you get on mike, the more i hear of your bongo, the more i,m convinced its the same one i test drove way back in jan/feb 2003,neat green,2wd,bullbars,same alloys, and the flashing rooflight!

This was in the wirral though, not ipswich was it? (it could well of moved in between though) There is'nt a standard mazda roof matress up top too is there? The only bongo i ever test drove that had that matress, is the one that i suspect you now own.

Seems unlikely BigDaddy. Mine was imported into Ipswich (hence the MPV registration) and sold to the bloke who had it (for 2 years) before selling it to me. It didnt have a matress upstairs, but it did have a Bongo mattress shaped quilt, with teddy bears and stuff in the fabric pattern. Its proved excellent as something to lay over the memory foam so you are not sleeping directly on it.

I gotta ask (and you know whats coming). What decided you not to buy the 2WD in question 8)

SM - I agree. Only issues are whether you can even tease things out far enough to free, cut, resolder, stuff any excess wire length back into place. Also, getting the right switch. If the job looks likely to be tiresome, it can wait as not being life (or Bongo) threatening.

Just about to get out my coolant warning installation guide and read it. Thats higher up the priority tree 8)
