If you want to remove the handle you'll need to remove a U shaped clip...don't try and force things!!!
There's summut about it in the members area.
good luck

No word from Dandy yet - I wonder who he's getting on with his door, which has been playing up.

My door got stuck last week, I had to take the top part of the panel off from the inside down to the door handle pulled it back then on the right hand side of the door I pulled the rods and the door opened. I sprayed wd40 everywhere and have had no problems since.
I think if the door is not shut properly or tried to be opened when locking it causes a problem.
Not a big job taking the panel off, just be careful when pricing the clips off.
Good luck
definitely another go!

Thank you Tom.
It seems I must get that door panel off again and have another go at pulling the rods. Will try tomorrow.
Obviously if I have success I will let everyone know.
Cheers.

Every week or so I spray all the lock bits, hinges and door workings and everything else that might stick. I use a maitenance spray rather than wd 40, as wd 40 evaporates and wears off very quick, the maintenance sprays last longer, I also use spray grease for the sliding door and so far I have never had a problem. Fingers crossed. Happy motoring.
Forgot to say the maintenance spray is one used by professional mountain bikers from good cycle shops, it is mud and waterproof, brill stuff.
Bongotastic!!!!! Bongo magik!!!!

HOOOOOORRRRAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!
I have opened the door!!!!!!!
Many many big thank yous to everyone that offered some very useful advise.
A sick was in deed needed to push right down to the bottom mechanics. Whilst I was prodding around my stick slipped and clouted a bit of mechanism that gave a lovely click sound. The sort of sound and kertwang that sounded just like something releasing!!!!!
I paused for a moment with my hand hovering over the door handle and then went for the big one......... it pulled open!!!!!!!! I left out of the open door and punched the air...... then collected myself as I do have neighbours and went for the next big one...... closing the door.
YES!!!!! The Bongo door purr returned. After a few test goes I thought I had better get onto thwe forum and announce my success.
I also disconnected the battery before closing the door as everyone has been advising. Spraying the insides with a lubricator type thing is a good idea too. Pity I had put the door back together before reading that.
Well folks, if I can get a jammed Bongo door to open then anyone can!!!!
Thanks again all those that took trouble to write.

Try checking your battery condition, when ours got stuck it was just before the battery gave up & died. I think if they are low and you keep going in and out when the engine hasn't run for a while, then they can get stuck half way through the Whizz/click routine.
