My point precisely Trev. Clear PVC for some conditions, netting for others. Arip of the velcro, and the panels can be changed over. Could be fun.

If the repair is beyond tent seam sealant, try spinnaker tape. This is used to repair rips in sails or kites and is available in different colours and widths. An internet search found these useful links:

thanks for all the tips etc. have now decided that were gonna fit a whole new netting but on the inside like in tents etc.
itll be screwed on the top two sides and front, sealing in the whole open area when down with velcro stitched to the bottom of the netting.
velcro will then be glued to inside the tent all way round so when down, its secured. when we want the tent bit up in warm weather, well roll it up as normal but behind netting from the inside instead of other way round.
if we want it all up, well roll it ll together and with slots in the top four areas where the velcro for the tent is already, itll hitch up that way, i hope lol.
thats the plan and i know it wont be original for re sale purposes but as thats a long way off, i aint bovvered lol.
if i want to sell, ill buy a second hand or new tent to sell it but apparently, as i have now finished my self conversion, its worth about £8000 if i sold it as its now a camper. i bought it for £4800. not bad for a cpl of weekends work eh!
cheers again

Just a thought.
When the drivers seat split on my Mercedes tipper truck, my boss sent the whole seat to a saddlers and had it reupholstered. It cam back identicle to the passenger seat, like brand new.
This seems like a more complicated job that a thin tent.
Anyone know of a saddler that could have a look.
Sadly, the one that did my seat has gone now.
All t best,
BUD
