Plenty of room for kite flying, bikes etc.
No horses to scare
I shall be going to Allithwaite at 4.30pm to put up the marquee and my tent.
Anyone arriving early is welcome to pop in to my shop/flat in gtange for a brew tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. I'll be stuck on my own on shop duty until 4.30. You'll finf my shop on Kents Bank Road...it's called Watchers'. If you are coming through on the main road our back garden is opposite the bandstand park on Park Road. Blue Kangoo in drive.
It looks like I'm doing tha Saturday morning shift as well
cheers

If I can fight off this cold this morning I suppose I should think about clearing out the bongo and the loo from York and doing some food shopping and packing today. Is anyone else as badly organised - I haven't even started to think about what we need!
Re: Meet 24th - 26th July Allithwaite, Grange over Sands
please tell me you didnt mean you havnt emptied the loo since York cat
- kite flying and low flying aircraft - could be interesting -my Kite is in the bongo.
badminton set will be smuggled out at luchtime - football has been commandeered by grandson
I,m sure peg leg Pete will have one though - he likes a kick around.

Not that great. I usually feel better by mid morning but I am strugglinng! The whole idea of trying to pack and sort out the bongo before Mark gets home and feel better is a little overwhelming. I am considering taking today to get better and coming over in the morning - the only thing is, if I do that then Mark will take it as an excuse not to come at all and minimc is really excited! If I thought I could have a few hours rest and then let mark sort things out that would be nice but somehow I can't see that!karena wrote:![]()

Well all packed including tennis raquet and tennis balls. Just need to pop in the local supermarket to buy some beer and other essentials then I will be off.

Allithwaite is a small village about 2 miles south of Grange over Sands.
Approach downhill passing the Guide over Sands pub on your left then at the left hand bend turn right up Church Road (the main road continues to the left).
Go up Church Road for about 200yards and you will see the Post Office on your right.
Take the right turn immediately after the Post Office - Quarry Lane. Its a bit narrow to start with so take care.
Go down Quarry Lane for about 300yards and turn left after the last bugalow onto the playing fields.
Continue up to the top field.
Looking forward to welcoming old & new peeps.
No need to book...just turn up.
cheers
