Does anyone know if it's ok for us to bring our raised fire pit? It's like a BBQ and obviously being raised it doesn't trash the grass

Last time when the warden saw Jr cutting wood up with an axe he told us we weren't allowed to burn wood, but we were allowed a barbecue

I reckon you'll have a problem. A barbecue isn't too bad because once you've incinerated your food you can slip some wood on probably without them noticing. Your fire pit isn't exactly easy to hide....
We were watched, I'm sure, problem was that he saw us cutting wood up before we knew we weren't supposed to - you're always going to be a target for there onwards!! - and we were pitched near the road so easy to spot.
Depends where you get pitched but I think you're asking for an argument with them. The only way around I can see is to chuck loads of charcoal on instead of wood and say it's a barbie, and you haven't got round to cooking just yet

We'll leave it behind, don't want to cause arguments

Need one of those small bbq bucket things to take when we can't have our fire pit ... have to hunt for one

It'll be ok as long as you don't burn wood on it. Have a skip-load of charcoal delivered to the site
