Woke up to more rain this morning :( rained most of yesterday, not much racing going on - they're not even attempting to dry out the track yet today.
Good job we're camping with Bongo peeps, keeping ourselves entertained, Gary & Tina doing a great job on the catering & Hospitality area  Of course we didn't have a fire last night & nobody's emptied any wine bottles :^o :^o

Racing all yesterday afternoon into the night, absolutely amazing, especially the top fuel stuff & the jet cars (described perfectly as "sonically rearranging your internal organs")- 240 miles an hour in the dark 8) (no headlights  ) One of the cars stood on its tail vertically as it took off (unintentionally), now slightly bent, there should be a shot of it on the Santa Pod webcam.
Woke up to sunshine & engines roaring, racing's started today already, going on into the night again 8) , just waiting for the rest of the guys to get their arses out of bed
It was well worth enduring the lousy weather, sticky mud, long trek to the toilets & lack of warm showers (new boiler not worknig properly apparantly) even just for an afternoons racing & a whole day to go :D
For anyone interested in cars AT ALL, this is a must at some point in your life.
The only down side was having to endure 20 minutes of slow VW's doing 15 -20+ second quarter miles  Was dying to get the bongo down there, couldn't have been any slower
Who's up for building a Bongo dragster ?

Well I got back in record time, about an hour and a half, more like 3. Any body there will know what i'm talking about. So many thankyou's were do i start, top of the list Gary and Tina, food, the fire basket and towing the cowavan all that way just to burn bits of it in the basket.
Kirsty, for the slim rock pegs,
Tay family, for the music,
Waycar8 , for the fire pole spinning,
Everybody else for the great evenings,
The drunks next to us, for being drunk,
The drunks opposite, for swapping beer for much needed fire wood,
The Sunday sport girls, just for turning up,
Almost forgot, the cars were good,
Top weekend =D>

Maybe Public Decency Laws make the pictures unpublishable.

Still sat in the field at Santa Pod, racing all day today until nearly 9pm again, eyes still stinging & ears still ringing, not that I'm trying to make you jealous Chris - lots of bike action 8) .
Brilliant company all weekend - cheers guys :D 8) Pete & AlanSooty are still here too, very quiet without the party crew & mum & dad (you know who you are  ) to look after us.
I didn't take many photos, but I'll stick some up when I get home & I'm not on this poxy slow dongly jobby.
This is definitely one for the calender for next year 8)
Saw at least 8 other bongos dotted around, spoke to a couple who've only had their bongo 3 weeks who's names I've forgotten - sorry  hopefully we've spread the word & may see them on here - that's if they weren't completely freaked out by a bunch of bongo anoraks accosting them
