Great news! The last thing Allan said to him was check the electrics, it's sounding like an electrical issue.
Fingers crossed you'll soon be Bongoing again!
Allans garage closed. Try PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services Plymouth

Morning All
I am delighted to inform you that I am back in my bongo. Picked it up yesterday evening. All perfect. The wiring problem was sorted but also needed alternator refurb as it was full of oil.

So just in time for the Larmer Tree Festival this weekend. If anyone is going to the festival feel free to come and find me, I am playing with Southampton Ukulele Jam all weekend.

Love to you all.

And well done to all who spent so much time sorting it. It might really help other v6 owners if you were able to give a quick summary of exactly what was wrong, why can belt change triggered it, why it proved so difficult to pin down, and how it was eventually tracked down and fixed.

This is great news indeed.

Well done for sticking with it when so many would have given up, and a big slap on the back to everyone involved with finding the problem.

You all deserve a drink/mug of tea depending on preference. =D> =D> =D>
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.
