Marriane, the bongomiesters wife, was bitten very badly a a Scottish Bongo bash there a few years back. Had a servere reaction and had to go home early.

Thanks for the warning but we've been before and know what you mean. The great steak pie and chips available at the top of Anoch Moor helps me to overcome all that though. The train trip to Malaig for fish and chip0s is good to. My highlights seem to involve food at the end of them, no wonder I've turned into porky pig.

So you are back for another fight with the blighters, no need to tell you that you are better of at a campsite on the coast with a breeze comming from the sea. The problem with Fort William is that all the campsites there are somewhat landlocked.

Can't say anything about the steak pie and chips available at the top of Anoch Moor. When I climbed Anoch Moor on my round of the Munroes many moons ago there was no junk on top of this mountain just a small pile of stones to mark the top.

Have a great holiday. Once I was on Skye was with my sister and her family to scatter her husband's ashes on McLeod land. Did you know that only McLeods are allowed to sign the visitors book at Dunvegan Castle. Not me I'm afraid as my mum was a McKay but my sister married a McLeod.

Has anyone checked with the campsite in Edinburgh to see if they have any flooding problems? I'm not booked to go, but I would be checking to see if they have any flooding problems.

I'm pretty sure they couldn't survive the rain we're having right NOW and have had in the last 3 months.

Good call, just drove along the city bypass, absolutely battering down, could be a real quagmire.
I was hoping to call in on sat or sun. (will need a serious improvement in the weather between now and the weekend).

They said it's very wet, but no problem for vehicles or tents.

Weather forcast for Edinburgh for the weekend is dry. Lets hope it drys out a bit before we get there. No flooding in my part of the Scottish Borders and the roads are drying out fast, but the grass is saturated. :?
