Too right!
I don't know what the chase is like for wild camping but Tackeroo is actually a campsite but is zero facilities.

Nice one, post codes are not too good on the chase. This might do it WS15 2U its for the cycle centre about a mile away. The route is straight forward, off M6 south bound at J14 take A34 south through Stafford towards Cannock - at Round about on the chase turn 1st left exit onto Penkridge Bank and then follow that round to Tackeroo.
Here's a google street view link:

Here's the directions from the Forestry website
3 miles from Rugeley - From the A51 turn into the Hagley Road (@ The Hagley Newsagent), which then moves into the Penkridge Bank Road

That postcode takes you to Birches Valley Visitor Centre - round the corner from Tackaroo, but not the same place...This postcode might be better WS15 2UQ
Tackaroo is on Penkridge Bank Road, if you end up at Birches Valley Visitor Centre, turn right out of the entrance, and left onto Penkridge Bank Rd, Tackaroo is a little way up the hill on the left hand side.
see you there

Some maps to give you a clue....

Northern types, exit M6 at junction 13 and head through Penkridge. As you go round Penkridge Bank to the right, there’s a carpark on your left and a track to your right, take this track and there should be some Bongos in the woods

Wow Muz - you've been busy!
If going via Penkridge, that left turn off the A449 can be a bit confusing. Its as you hit the main bit of the town - after you go over the bridge and past the hotel. First left and then left again.
Other option is off at J14 and follow A34 through Stafford - but this is a bit more stressful

Yes, I seem to recall that from last year. Thanks to a hand-held GPS device we were able to avoid a brace of Bongos driving through someone's front garden
Anyway - Who is camping at Tackeroo on Saturday? I don't mean those swanning off to a proper site some miles away, who is actually wild-camping - Just the B*Witched Blingo squadron?

Not us, I only attend day meets that I can technically walk to
I'm tempted....
I did consult on this with the Mrs D and the Dobbettes but got no takers, plan B was for me and kid(s) to rough it and Mrs Dobby and kid(s) to follow on in the morning.
PS Definitive fish and chips in the locale as far as I'm aware is the Little Fawn at Milford
