Want to fit mine tonight if the weather is not too extreme. Where do you put the actuator?

Under driver's seat in front of the air filter housing.
You'll find a couple of usefully located bolts that can be used.
I used the forward most one holding the air filter housing to the chassis.
The cable then routes smoothly and gently around the filter and then alongside the throttle cable so it lines up nicely and can be clamped to it.

Yup, that certainly did the trick. It went from no action to about right. Not nearly as smooth and predictable as the OEM one in my old Toyota, but a whole lot better than not having one.

Medium. I'll give L and H a try in an hour or so, but I suspect M is optimal for me.

Yeah, I tried L for the last part of this morning's trip and it seemed pretty smooth. Will leave it there for now. Didn't bother even trying H.

Way back on page six September 8th i purchased a cruise control unit from Germany ,my electrickery bloke had a lot of probs with the unit not working, so it was sent back to them under warranty, about the same time as the postal strike .
He has phoned me today and told me they have replaced the whole unit with a brand new one ,and he will eventually fit it for me this weekend, only three months late, I've got past the enthusiastic stage now ,and just want it to work. I will let you know how i get on, so fingers crossed this time.

Just make sure he knows that the black wire loop MUST be cut.

Yes It's a wire loop on the Electronic Module that alters the pulse count rate from 1,250 per km to 8,000 per km which is correct for the Bongo.

If you drive the Bongo with everything connected and look at the little Red LED on the Electronic Module you will see that at speeds over about 30 mph the flashing is almost continuous.

If you then cut the black wire loop the flashing rate drops right down to a couple of times a second, the module can then keep up with the pulses and lock on.

Installed mine a couple of days ago. I had been using it on my Pug 405 which has a mechanical speedo, so had to use the hall sender kit. Having an electronic speedo to plug into made the fitting a lot more simple, and it works a lot more smoothly.

Out of interest, where did the rest of you get your vacum for the actuator from? I spliced into the thin pipe that leads up to the EGR gubbins above the injector gallery.
