What's up with my Bongo? Hopefully these symptoms are quite specific....
I just drove from Bristol to the Lakes. The last hour, when accelerating on the motorway (so shifting up) the gear changes were really jerky.
Then I left the motorway, slowed right down at a roundabout and the engine stalled. Not like when a manual stalls, the engine just died. But restarted as normal. This continued on the drive through the Lakes whenever I stopped.
Then, after about 10 stalls, the engine wouldn't restart at all. I left it 15 mins and it started again and we got to our holiday apartment.
I'll call RAC tomorrow, but I'd bet someone on here knows exactly what the problem is!
V6 - stalling at low speed, jerking when accelerating.

Was the temperature at the normal position? Have you checked for a blocked air vent in the petrol cap perhaps?

Temp seems ok, but aren't the Bongo guages notoriously unreliable?
Interesting you mentioned the petrol cap, I dropped it when refilling at the start of the journey. Didn't realise they were that important. I'll check it tomorrow. What damage am I looking for?

Can someone maybe post a link to a diagram of the fuel cap? I can't see any obvious way of disassembling and cleaning it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
